"I've run this event twice now, and it is hands down the best experience I've ever had at an ultra. My wife crews all my races, and this is one I don't ever have to ask if it's ok. They go out of their way to make sure every runner from first place to those showing up for their first ultra feel cared for and special. It's simply a class event."

Participating in the El Gato Rebelde event was nothing short of a triumphant return to my passion for running. After undergoing foot surgery and facing the uncertainty of whether I could ever lace up my running shoes again, this event marked a significant milestone in my journey.

Surfside's stunning beach path provided the perfect backdrop for this 6-hour challenge, a testament to the beauty of perseverance. Despite the heat, the camaraderie among participants and the unwavering support from the crew created an atmosphere of pure positivity and encouragement.

Every step I took felt like a victory, fueled by the cheers from fellow runners and the dedication of the support team who ensured we had everything we needed to push through the heat. Their enthusiasm was infectious, turning what could have been a daunting task into a joyous celebration of resilience and determination. The vibe was electric!

El Gato Rebelde isn't just a race; it's a testament to the human spirit and the power of community. I left the event with a renewed sense of purpose and an eagerness to continue pushing my limits.
